Advocacy Training 2019 Brussels

WRR wants to empower women refugees to become self-advocates for themselves and their communities. We do this, among others, by organising workshops aimed at enhancing access to information on rights, health care, social services and safety, as well as developing skills on public speaking, story-telling, etc.

About the training:

  • workshops on:
  • rights and the Belgian legal framework
  • rights and the international and European legal framework
  • the Belgian labour market, labour rights, and education
  • advocacy: what is advocacy, why is it important to speak up, how can you speak up for yourself and your community
  • on stereotypes and how to break them
  • for women or persons who identify as women, with a refugee background
  • Saturday and Sunday 15-16 June 2019 from 10am to 6pm
  • free of charge

We have a limited number of spaces available for this training (+/- 15) in order to guarantee the quality of the sessions.

You can apply to participate before 27 May 2019. If you are selected, we will get back to you with additional information, including the location.
