Roxane is the current General Manager of Women Refugee Route and the Head of Communications.
Roxane joined WRR in 2016 and has since then taken care of the organisations communication, including the maintenance of social media channels and the development of the website.
As general Manager, Roxane is in charge of ensuring the running of the organisation and overseeing different projects and the work of the other team members.
Roxane is living in Brussels and has been working for a Project and Events manager for a local NGO for the past three years. Before moving to Brussels for an internship at the European Parliament, Roxane completed her Masters degree in European Studies at Maastricht University.
In her free time, Roxane is active with the German Young Social Democrats Brussels (JUSOS) and is co-heading their gender equality cluster. In this role she is advocating for wage and pension equality, equal access to services and information, promotion sexual and reproductive healthcare and the general promotion of more women in positions of power and politics.
As a former youth worker, Roxane is particularly interested in promoting sustainable and inclusive social work and in supporting people working with refugee women on the ground.
